1. Yes, it receives group text messages just like my main phone. 2. Yes, but you may need to use the Verizon Messages texting app on your main phone for text messages work correctly. (I'm not sure how well it works with iMessage.) 3. It's easy. Calls ring to both phones and text messages appear on both phones. I switch between phones multiple times a day, and it's as easy as picking up the phone I want to use at that moment. You can leave the main phone at home and the Palm will happily work on its own.

I have Verizon Wireless and needed a actual Verizon phone, not a Verizon compatible phone. There will be a small limitation of messaging between the Apple IPhone and the Palm phone which is an Android device.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes it can recieve group texts. I don't know if it works as a companion for the i-phone. But a quick call to best buy would answer that. As far as how it works between phones is simple. You just pick up and go. Both phones are mirroring each other. No buttons to push or anything. It's nice because if my Samsung needs charging I use the companion. What's also cool is that it's super small and fits nicely in a pocket. I love this little thing. Calls are clear, I can take pictures and it pretty much does everything that my other phone does. It does not however have all the bells and whistles that my Samsung has so don't expect that from this phone but its perfect for a back up or a work place environment where you don't want a big bulky phone. I absolutely would recommend. Good luck
