A:Answer I looked at both, and went with the J3 mainly because of the battery life, 2600 mah (milli amp hours) and can go two days without charging. I think the J1 only has a 1850 mah battery, significantly less. I liked the smaller size of the J1, fits in more pockets easier, but I've been very happy with the J3 for the past two months and not that much bigger, no real issues at all other than the camera is just a little slow (it's a digital thing), but should not be slower than the J1.
