No, because it's 2 different SIM card that's needed for postpaid and prepaid.

First, once you buy the phone you will have to activate the sim that came with the phone. You will have to buy 1 Month of prepaid service (the minimum plan you must buy is the $30.00 Plan) Once you have done this and received the confirmation email that your Prepaid plan is active (takes about 15 minutes) You can than put your Postpaid plan Sim card (nano size) into the phone and call Verizon customer service. Tell them what your wanting to do (it will most likely confuse them, I spoke with 2 different people before someone knew what to do ) Verizon customer service will have to transfer you to Prepaid Customer service (where they were very nice, but also confused as to why I would waste 30 dollars on a prepaid plan) Prepaid customer service will have to release/unlock your prepaid device, once they do that they will connect you back to Post paid customer service where they will activate your Sim and the phone will work perfectly on your post paid family plan. (*You will need to have your IME available and the receipt of your Post paid service activation handy, also if they give you any push back let them know that on the back of the box it does say that the phone can be activated with any service after a full 30 days of prepaid service has been purchased. that is on the box) I hope this helps.
