“Will this play a cassette and record on the USB port so I can record on a cd on my computer?”

It can play a cassette. I have not tried to record into a mp3 file via computer connection yet. It is supposed to allow you to record via software downloaded to your computer, using USB cable provided in the box.

It plays cassettes Cds but I am not sure about the USB bc I havent tried it yet
