You nearly always get this message if the Camera access and Microphone access permissions are turned off in Windows 10. These settings control whether applications can use video recording or audio recording devices, which includes both webcams and capture devices, like the VIDBOX USB capture device. Please make sure that Camera and Microphone access is available to apps on your computer. You can check these in the Privacy settings in Windows 10. There is also a help article titled "Privacy Settings (Windows)" in the VIDBOX Help Center that guides you through changing these settings.

There are different types of cords to choose from depending upon the unit you are capturing from. Make sure the device you are capturing from is in aux mode. If you are not able to see the picture on the screen then your connection is wrong. White with white input, red and yellow. Any questions I am here to help. 510-685-1397.
