You can transfer to your computer and from there decide where to put that file - DVD, Thumb Drive, Zip Drive, etc. The whole process is pretty simple - BUT remember this isn't a highspeed method. If you have a two hour video tape - it will take two hours to make the conversion. Good luck and enjoy your new "Old Memories!!!"

• A:Answer You nearly always get this message if the Camera access and Microphone access permissions are turned off in Windows 10. These settings control whether applications can use video recording or audio recording devices, which includes both webcams and capture devices, like the VIDBOX USB capture device. Please make sure that Camera and Microphone access is available to apps on your computer. You can check these in the Privacy settings in Windows 10. There is also a help article titled "Privacy Settings (Windows)" in the VIDBOX Help Center that guides you through changing these settings.

• A:Answer Yes and No. If you hook up the VCR through the device into the computer, you can copy copy-protected movies. However you may get fading color or lines at the bottom. This is caused by the copy-protection. In that case, a line conditioner may be needed. I am actually doing the same thing. 3 out 4 movies have worked so far. Hope this helps.

• A:Answer No. This does record in real time. So, the video does have to play at regular speed. So, you just need to be able to stop and start the video you are recording. So, as long a there are controls on your machine, you should not need the remote control. (You can edit the digitally captured video later.)

• A:Answer Small tapes can be transferred IF - You have a Player for them, 8mm needs a 8mm camera to play the tapes on. H. DV tapes needs a DV Camera/player, VHS tapes needs a VHS Recorder/Player unit. All versions of Players must have Cable from the Player that has Phono Plugs/ RCA style that will Plug into the back of the VIDBOX, that comes in the box of the Video Converter. The USB Cable between The VIDBOX to the Computer is included in the converter package you buy. You Need a Computer that has a DVD/CD recorder. A CD recorder will not work to save videotape programs. Type of DVD's Depend on the DVD Recorder, Some use DVD+R , Some Use DVD-R, Many Can use DVD+R & DVD-R , Look at computer manual OR look at the end of the tray of your computer CD player, Some are marked. You cant use a DVD+R in a DVD-R unit, Or a DVD-R in a DVD+R unit. The Manufactures of the Discs does not matter, as long as you match the +R or -R to your Recorder.

• A:Answer The product does not come with an S-Video cable. The package contains standard RCA composite stereo male-to-male cables. The capture device does support S-Video input, but you would need to provide your own cable to connect with your VHS camcorder.
