A:AnswerYes, you can use this product to create video files from VHS to a compatible Windows computer. Please note you will need a working VHS player to play the tape out to the VIDBOX equipment.
A:AnswerThis product will let you assemble photo slideshows and burn to DVDs. It does not burn individual pictures to CD, but you may already be able to do that in Windows directly. The oldest version this was tested for previously with was Windows Vista, however, current updates are only designed and tested for Windows 8 and newer. For Windows 7 and earlier, 1 GB RAM should be sufficient as a minimum requirement. For newer Windows versions, 4 GB RAM would be recommended for the system to have.
A:AnswerYes, you can set a Save Location in the software, including to external USB storage devices. However, we do generally recommend directly recording to a hard drive rather than a flash drive for the most reliable results.
A:AnswerYes, you can set the external hard drive as the Save Location to make your files, and play them back directly on a computer with an appropriate media player.
A:AnswerThis product was not designed and tested for use with Windows XP. It most likely would not work in a Windows XP environment, and it may fail to install certain necessary components there. For best operation, we would recommend using the product with a compatible Windows 10 computer.
A:AnswerYes. I have a built in DVD on my old laptop but downloaded from web site. In fact, that was the only option with my purchase as there was no DVD set up included.
A:AnswerWe would have to recommend contacting our support team to check out the issue. It is not clear what the cause of the problem is, and we would need more information to try to find that out.
A:AnswerThis converter comes with his own program that you download to your computer. when your downloading the program with the CD that comes with it make sure that your player that you use to watch your old movies is connected to the converter then the converter to the computer thru USB connector. then you have to use a DVD disc to burn your old VHS movies to DVD. you can also connect your com corder to the converter to burn your old videos. hoping this will help. I'm still burning my old VHS videos then my Hi8 videos next.
A:AnswerYes you can. It is a longer process, but when you go to the Advanced Mode you can start and stop recording at anytime. This way you will be able to put in multiple vhs tapes. Once you hit stop while recording, the clip will show up on the right of the screen. Once you get the clips you want, you need to go to the EDIT mode. Here you can either edit them a little more, then drag and drop them to the bottom of the screen, or you can just drag and drop them to the bottom of the screen without any editing, and that is where the video will come from. Once you have all the clips you want, hit Merge and Save. This will create the video that can be either saved to the computer, or be burned. Once the video has been merged and saved, the video clip will show up on the right of the screen. If you want to burn the video, hit BURN at the top of the screen. Now you can drag and drop the video to the screen, then hit the burn icon at the bottom of the screen to burn the video. Personally, I have been able to both burn dvd's, or save the videos to the computer where I have been able to put them on a flash drive.
A:AnswerI have been using it to make digital videos on my computer. It gives you the option to record to hard drive instead of a DVD. It has a Wizard setting where you just make some simple choices like to DVD or computer and then record. It's pretty simple and works good.
A:AnswerIt does come with a cable.
Red - white- yellow connection
