- Answer Compatibility to the Computer Operating Software - A Version 9 is not made to run WINDOWS XP or anything Older Than Windows 7, 8, or 10 , - 9.0 will work on USB 3.0 or 2.0, The older numbers only run on 2.0 speed ports, or they run 2.0 in a 3.0 - See MANUFACTURES Web page for specifics - Also Software in package is improved in each new version.

QuestionWhat's the difference between ViDBox VHStoDVD 9.0 Deluxe (@2019) and the VidBox Video Conversion (@2020)? Can I convert 8mm tapes with both of them?

- Answer The VIDBOX Video Conversion Suite comes with both the Windows software and the more feature-limited Mac software. The package comes with a software download card for the Mac software instead of a CD. The Windows software also has some simplifications for certain steps and functions. Both the VHStoDVD and the Video Conversion for PC series can capture 8mm tapes when you connect a working 8mm player with the appropriate outputs (S-Video and/or RCA cables).
