A:AnswerNew chime may not be necessary however the White chime Pro is a fabulous upgrade from the chime we replaced. Quality and responsiveness is well worth it in my opinion.
A:AnswerThey do but I would go with a different installer. I had a nightmare having them come out 3 times and not getting it properly installed. The issue at hand was they needed to install the component on the chime before installing the doorbell component.
I ended up having the Google recommended installers coming, removing the old doorbell, and installing a new one themselves. They were able to do it in a single try.
Overall though I do like the Nest Hello doorbell.
