“Why does it need a “power cable” and a “AC Adapter???” I mean can’t you simply plug it into power for it to work??? How many “cables” does one need to plug in before it functions???”

• It uses a laptop-style power supply, so you plug the power cable into the AC adapter, and then the adapter plugs into the monitor

• the adapter Filters power "draw". Sophisticated electronics such as todays LED monitors require little but give so much.
