“I see this monitor is freesync and doesn’t say gsync compatible. I have a legion 7i pro laptop with a NVIDIA 4080. Am I able to connect this monitor to my laptop and use gsync with it and achieve 100% compatibility with the full 240hz and have VFR?”

FreeSync and G Sync are compatible. As such, you can utilize the FreeSync feature with your laptop. Utilizing these features, you can still achieve the 240hz refresh rate of the XG2431.
