Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You don't need a subscription to use the blue tooth option with your phone. Viper's claim that it works up to 150 feet is vastly exaggerated though. It is dependent on blue tooth technology, which is limited to 40 feet or so. I didn't even install the app, because the fob upgrade I got has a lot longer range.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You should be able to use the mobile app without subscription to use the bluetooth feature. Viper says that should work within 150 feet. This is totally unrealistic, as range for bluetooth connection is limited to 30 or 40 feet. Even the cheapy fob included in the package has longer range than that. I haven't even installed the app. To be able to control your car from anywhere, you would need to purchase the additional Smart Start module and also pay a subscription. That makes sense, because the Smart Start module is actually a cellular device running on AT&T 3G.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I did not have to pay anything to get the app or use the features on the app.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, if you want to use the phone app. I had to purchase a subscription, it was cheaper if the auto renewal was selected. Check the viper site for subscription price
