“My original key fob had no remote start button on it, but I got a new fob with the remote start button. I haven't gotten it programmed to my vehicle but would the remote start button work to start the vehicle or would that button be useless?”

You can have the Geek Squad program your new key fob and your original key fob. That is what we did. It works great with either one, but you need to have them do the programming.
