“Do I need to carry the OEM fob, I have a push-button start. Will the phone app or Viper fobs allow me to drive the vehicle or do I still need to also carry the OEM fob? I would prefer to not have to carry anything but my phone. I have enough stuff on me.”

If you have the Viper remote start installed all you need it the Viper fob or your cell phone.
