You can use the Bluetooth feature to operate the alarm system, but only when your phone is in range of the alarm. The add on kit that allows you to operate the alarm is around $199 I believe and you have to pay for a subscription that allows you control the alarm from anywhere in the United States. Also the alarm siren is an additional $99.
