- Answer Modern remote start systems are manual tranny compatible. But you have to shut the car OFF using the remote start, that way the system KNOWS that the vehicle is in neutral. Beware, my Best Buy would not install remote start on manual vehicles. Not sure if its a regional rule or company wide. Good luck

- Answer Yes. You need to also purchase the Viper SmartStart Pro system and installed along with the DS4 as a base module. Vipers services for the LTE/Drone activation can go from $5 to $10 dollars. It will depend on the service you want and how advance. Check https://www.viper.com/smartstart/serviceplans.aspx for more info about their plans.
