- Answer The viper ds4+ is what you will need. It will give the capability to remote start with the phone within the range of your Bluetooth to your phone or about 500 feet with the remote that it comes with. The unit you have selected is the add on to the remote start system that will allow you to remote start with your phone anywhere with a cell signal.
