Prepaid means that instead of signing a contract to receive service or getting a bill in the mail, you pay month to month. Think of it as the difference between signing a 12 month lease on a apartment vs paying the landlord month to month. With prepaid, you either purchase a card that has the minutes and data of your choice, or you can go online and pay for service directly. Either way, you get 30 days of service and at the end of the 30 days, you can either pay to continue or not pay and they turn the phone off. People like this option because you can cancel anytime or get a new phone whenever you want. You can get a plan from anyone, but its easier to use the carrier on the box. But if you want a different company, just make sure you have the info about the phone, like the sim id or sim number, serial number ready. This info is found on the box or in the phone. To find it, go to settings and click "about this phone" or "phone" or "this device".
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The minutes are prepaid.
