QuestionCan I add extra food waste while it is working? I see a Play/Pause button and it would make me so easier if I can add additional food waste in the kiddle of a run.

- Answer No, once is close is close, you’ll have to be careful not to overload too. I use it overnight since electricity rate is cheaper.

QuestionJust got my food cycles worked last night compost was a bit gooey…tonight it isn’t turning on..not even close to the fill line any troubleshooting? It’s not the socket it does beep but power light doesn’t go on to start thakd

- Answer When this happens to me because some of the ingredients in the Foodcycler are extra wet, I run it through a second cycle and everything comes out the way it should.

QuestionHow do you clean the PROCESSING lid? I’ve read the manual front to back and scoured the web but have found nothing. I want to run it under water to get the food particles out of the little holes but want to make sure it’s safe to do so.Thanks in advance!

QuestionDoes the compost attract ants like the food waste would have?

- Answer Hi, The FoodCycler does not create compost per se. It creates dehydrated food waste (DFW). As long as it stays dry, the DFW will not smell or attract pests.

- Answer Hi, This machine does not produce compost. The dehydrated food waste it creates, depending on the food scraps you put in, will usually be a nitrogen-rich component for your compost.

- Answer We use ours on a small outdoor covered porch. Our kitchen is just a bit too small to give up the counter space. I do wipe it down about once a week with a damp cloth and I’m meticulous about keeping the lid on to keep any dust out.

- Answer I have filed mine to the max line indicated on the inside of the pail but loosely. I do not compress the scraps to fit more in.

- Answer Hi, The machine comes with the filters you need to operate it. Of course, you can expect to have to replace them periodically. If you don't replace the filters, you can expect a stronger odor coming out of the machine or the bucket.
