It has speakers facing forwards and upwards as well as the downward facing subwoofers. I can confirm that it does sound good laying flat as well as wall mounted, but just make sure if it's wall mounted that the side labeled up is pointing up and if it's laying flat that the long side that has the opening is facing towards the tv / away from the viewer.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I’d does come with a template and two wall mount disks that go into slots in the rear/bottom of the unit. I was disappointed to find that the cable opening which emanates from the back of the unit only allow the cables to exit the bottom of the speaker when mounted on the wall. It can not be mounted so that the wires exit the top toward the TV where the connections actually go to. Strange. Otherwise, an excellent speaker in all regards.
