For best results when using the HDMI ARC and pass-through features of the sound bar, you will want to connect the sound bar to the TV using the HDMI ARC connections of both devices. After that connection is made, you will then want to attach the next device like a cable box, gaming console, or DVD player to the HDMI IN connection on the sound bar itself.
