QuestionI can mount this soundbar on either the wall or place it below my Vizio 65" TV. Which placement gives the best OVERALL sound experience, given the way the various speakers are arrayed in the soundbar?

- Answer I just recently mounted it below my 43 inch tv. Let me tell you the sound for me is a lot better. The surround is better as well.

QuestionI have a Sony Bravia model KDL-50W800B. Would this sound bar be a good match for that TV?

- Answer I think this sound bar would go well with just about any TV because it has HDMI ARC, as well as HDMI in and out (passthrough), digital optical input and 2 analog stereo inputs, one of which is dedicated to a voice assistant such as an Amazon Echo. It has Bluetooth connectivity, too. It even supports 4k video.

QuestionWhy is the small opening for the cables on the bottom of the speaker if wall mounted with “this side up”? Now the cables are coming out of the bottom instead of the top which would be better for concealment. Am I missing something here?

- Answer I agree that this is a terrible design. If you want to wall-mount it right below your TV, there is no place for the wires to come out the top and be hidden. I assume most people will put the sound bar below their TV, so this is a huge swing-and-a-miss by Vizio.

QuestionSound-bars to be warm when they’re off? I got the "Vizio 36" 2.1 -Ch Home Theater Soundbar System" hooked up via ARC HDMI to my Roku tv. It's warm on the right side and it’s open box excellent recently bought. And when it’s off, it is still warm.

- Answer Use a 3.5mm audio cable to connect the AUX VA port on the sound bar to an AUX port on your voice assistant device. If there is no AUX port on the VA device, use a Bluetooth connection instead. Press and hold the Bluetooth button on the sound bar or remote for five (5) seconds. Search for the sound bar (VIZIO M21d) using your VA device app. For more information, refer to the user documentation that came with the device.
