If you're referring to the cordless option, it's essential to clarify that the cordless feature pertains to the communication of audio, not power. Neither the soundbar nor the subwoofer is battery-operated and requires a power source to function. Additionally, the wireless subwoofer communicates with the speaker wirelessly, necessitating two power outlets for both components to work. It's worth noting that, contrary to my expectations, the HDMI passthrough is limited to eARC (Enhanced Audio Return Channel) only. This meant I couldn't use it in the way I intended with my receiver, TV, and Tivo, as I had anticipated a simpler one-cable-in, one-cable-out setup. However, I found a workaround by using the Fiber audio out from my TIVO, though it's not as seamless as I had initially hoped.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. This model of sound bar does require the power cord be connected to the sound bar and the wall outlet in order for the sound bar to work. The wireless portion of the product information refers to the connection between the sound bar and subwoofer. The connection between the sound bar and subwoofer is wireless but the subwoofer and sound bar do both need to be connected to power. Thanks!
