• Not sure about Apple but if it works with my Samsung tv then it should work for Apple.

• Yes, you are able to program the sound bar to respond to the TV remote commands. Here is a link to the manual for this sound bar: https://cdn.vizio.com/user-manual/PDF/2021/Audio/V21t-J8_UM.pdf If you scroll to page 15 in the manual, it discusses how to program the sound bar to respond to the TV remote commands.
