how this tv connects to cable box? null

My cable box is an ADD receiver from Cable One and it has an HDMI output cable which I use at the TVs HDMI input to give me the 1080 resolution. I liked this TV so much that I gave an identical one to my grand son for his high school graduation present to take off to college with him. He probably will use it to play his games on and watch programs on his Netfix account.

You can use an HDMI cable, component cable, or a coaxial cable.
