“I have cable television and wi-fi in my house. We like to record shows. We'd like to watch out on the patio in the nice weather. Can I do that with a smart TV, accessing the cable recorder and/or wi-fi? Not sure how it works.”

This tv is a smart tv but does not allow for apps to be added. I do not think you could stream from inside house to it. It will connect to wifi and Netflix but can not connect to time warner app. Only the insignia roko tvs will let you use time warner.

Please try again later.Yes with a smart TV it is almost like comparing a Wi-Fi connection to a cellular phone you will look up the local networks and select which one is yours and enter the password information. As far as the recording goes it would determine who's your service provider is services such as the hopper are some show recordings are accessible through cellular devices think of your smart TV as a cellular device just not mobile.
