• Yes, as long as you can control your tv with the remote. I control mine with my DirecTV remote. Bar turns on with the tv, but doesn't turn off with the tv. Turns off with its remote or automatically after a time period with no activity.

• I was able to use my Dish Hopper remote it already had the Vizio codes and also programmed it for my Logitech 700. You should have no problem.
