does this unit come with a visual display i need to be able to see what the remote is doing does this unit display anything??

The unit does come with a remote. On the soundbar, on the left side, when activated there are a row of leds up and down to see the volume, bass,treble and center levels.

only display is on the side showing if its on or muted or volume level

On the left side there is a series of lights that move from bottom to top indicating "increasing" so if you're on volume or bass or treble you can see levels. On my Vizio TV even with the speaker TV internal speakers turned off the sound volume bar stills shows up on tv screen when I turn sound bar volume up or down
