• Yes, You can adjust the volume of the center speaker independently to really make dialogue stand out. I no longer have to rewind movies and DVR shows multiple times and finally give up trying to decipher what they are saying.

• I would say yes, if you have a system like mine I believe you need the left, center and right speakers for tru surround sound
