“Is this tv a wall mounted one or one that can stand on a surface?”

• Either way. You'll have to buy a wall mount bracket assembly if you want to hang it up. It comes with a stand that attaches to the bottom of the TV. Locking hardware also included. We use the provided stand and it sits easily on our triangular glass shelf.
