You only need a WiFi connection if you want to stream the apps like Netflix. If you just want to connect it to an antenna or your cable provider set top box then it does not HAVE to have wifi. It has a good picture and was a good size for our bedroom.

No. You can use the tv anyway you would like. It hooks up to your WiFi if you have internet and you can stream things directly from the tv if you want to, but you don’t have to.
