I believe there is an input on the remote for the Vizio apps along with dedicated buttons for Netflix and Amazon so it won't involve switching HDMI inputs as the apps use the Wi-fi connection. You should be able to switch between apps and cable easily.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Visio apps are located in a separate input than HDI-1 if you want to watch Visio apps you just push the SmartCast button on your remote and you will be able to watch the apps.
