It does not require a sound bar. The speakers are down firing. They are on the bottom edge of the display. This can be mounted to a wall without hindering the speakers..
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.There are ventilation "grids" on the back of the TV, they point down at the bottom of the TV and up about 3/4 way up the back. There are no holes in the front or back face of the TV. I am very confident the sound comes out of these ventilation holes pointing down and/or up in the back of the TV. The sound is pretty good but can not compete with sound bar quality. I do not think you will have any problem wall mounting this TV. A sales rep should be able to address this question also.
