I just purchased the Visio VSeries. I have not opened the box yet. Will this tv show full screen? I have a Visio currently that doesn't . It says 40 inch but you lose 6 inches on each side. So basically it's a 30 inch and the deceived the public :) null

I believe this is more of the cable box or streaming device you are using more then it is the tv itself. Make sure you set cable/ stream to the resolution that your tv is.
