Some products are referred to as 4k and others as 2160p. They are the same. One is measuring the resolution horizontally, the other vertically. 4k is a reference to the roughly 4,000 pixels (3,840) that are presented horizontally, whereas 2160p represents the vertical resolution of 2,160 lines presented in progressive mode (the "p"). You could also, similarly, refer to 1080p, with 1,080 lines vertically, as being 2k, as it has 1,920 pixels horizontally, and 8k as 4320p.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.2160 is the number of lines of resolution for 4K aka ultra high definition. 4k means 4000 and refers to the number of pixels per line. However the actual number of pixels per line is 3840. Someone or some group decided that it was close enough to call it 4k. Then there's 8k that is 4320P by 7680 pixels per line. The "P" stands for Progressive as opposed to "i" that stands for interlaced.
