I have been using it as a second monitor in my home office. I simply needed to go into display settings and reduce the size percentage to give a cleaner presentation. I can't answer the gaming question regarding the resolutions asked about.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It works fine in 1080p. I assume it will in 1440p, as well. But, have not verified. You're only going to get 60Hz input. The 120Hz "Dynamic Refresh Rate" is marketing hype. It's not Vizio's doings, however. The whole industry tells that lie when it comes to TVs. Input lag is low, but the screen has a fairly slow response time. So, you're going to get smearing and blurring in fast motion. Additionally, the screen doesn't get very bright. Glare and reflections may be of issue in brightly lit rooms.
