• It has speakers, and they are more than adequate. Maybe if you play a lot of movies and want that home theater experience would you want to get a sound bar. We don't need a separate sound bar, but to each his own.

• This monitor does have speakers however, I would recommend a sound bar or surround sound since the speakers are not that up to par. To hear the sound and get a better experience out of this 4K display I would recommend purchasing one of those with the TV.
