As I understand from reading questions, the unit is not a browser, so is all content viewed have to be connected to the HDMI port or does it actually receive a wireless signal from the computer? Also, to view Netflix and such, would a unit such as the Roku be needed to view movies? One answer said an external storage device needed to be connected.”

All you need is a Wifi (or router if you want to run ethernet cable into the TV), keep in mind that the Facebook app never has worked and it was recently (automatically) removed from my App menu. You do not need a computer or any sort of storage device. Overall this is really plug-n-play.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.It connects wirelessly all by itself. You don't need a computer or a Roku. Netflix, Amazon Video and YouTube are among the channels programmed in. Your channel selection is pretty broad but we had to add a Roku for the content not available in the Yahoo Channel Store. You can hook up an external device via USB but it's not needed for internet content. Obviously an internet connection is.
