“Can you have sound come out of only rear speakers? Heard this at a friend's house and you could turn the sound down and still hear it very well. Of course they were ceiling mounted, down firing. It was nice because others could still converse”

You can turn on dual mode. It will play the audio from the front left and right speaker on the two rear speakers. I set dual mode on when I am watching YouTube videos.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.While you are not able to completely turn off the front speakers, you can adjust the balance of the audio. The possible draw back to this though could be that only the backgroud or rear audio will be heard, minimal to no dialog.
