Yes you can. Either by enabling CEC via HDMI. Or if not using HDMI, you can follow the instructions in the manual to pair your tv remote to the soundbar.

Using a VIZIO TV remote will adjust the volume on a VIZIO sound bar as well. If not using a VIZIO TV remote, the sound bar does have what is called a "Learn" feature. You will be able to program the sound bar to recognize Vol +, Vol -, and Mute from that TV remote.
