“can one connect additional speakers to this via wireless bluetooth? I have a large downstairs family room/kitchen and it would be nice to have an additional pair of speakers in the kitchen just to pick up the dialog for people walking between the rooms”

• I believe this is a closed system and can not add additional speakers.but you can add it to google home setup which might provide what you are looking for.
