“Comcast HDMI out to soundbar in. HDMI-Arc out from soundbar to HDMI-Arc in on the TV with a Firestick on HDMI 1 on Sony TV. Cable sound is fine however when switching to Firestick I lose all sound. Switching back to cable has sound.”

• Send cable to tv hdmi 1 firestick to another hdmi (2) and then send all of your media in to the soundbar via hdmi arc. Your tv will either decode the audio or else pass it along to be decoded to your soundbar via the Audio Return Channel (ARC).

• Try using an Optical cable instead of HDMI-ARC, the sound will play through the soundbar despite which HDMI port you select to use.
