• Will it work? yes. Should you spend $1000 on a sound bar you plan to hook up via optical? Absolutely not!! If you're using optical cable for your sound runs, then look at lower cost sound bars. You won't notice any difference.

• You won't get Atmos through an optical cable. Should be through Arc or eArc.

• Yes it will. For full functionality you will need HDMI input but it works perfectly fine with an optical cable.
