A:Answer1. The sound bar does currently have discreet audio for the rear speakers. 2. 4K HDR passthrough is possible through this sound bar I will look into the tech sopecs listed for this product. 3. They will be decoded as intended. Example would be if you bar is receiving DTS 5.1, it will output that. If the bar is receiving Dolby Digital or Dolby Digital+, it will output that as well as intended.
A:AnswerThe echo dot can be connected through Bluetooth and would output all audio from the echo dot. When doing this we recommend turning off eco mode so the sound bar doesn't automatically power off. If the sound bar powers off it would need to be repaired when powered back on.

A:AnswerDolby Audio and DTS are available on the Coaxial In, HDMI ARC, HDMI In, and Digital Optical Audio In inputs. Dolby Atmos is available on HDMI ARC and HDMI In when connected to supported devices and streaming services. When a Dolby or DTS signal is detected, the Dolby Atmos (Green) / Dolby Audio (White)/ DTS (Amber) indicator LED will light up for 5 seconds before fading away.
A:AnswerNo, the update has not gone out yet, even though Vizio stated it would by now. Vizio support does not or will not confirm whether they are even working on a firmware fix for this issue.
A:AnswerThe Height level is the volume level you want the upward firing speakers to project sound. Upward firing speakers reflect off of the ceiling. So a higher ceiling will tamp down the sound given the sound has a longer distance to gi before it reflects back down to you. Increasing the value for the height level therefore increases the sound the upward firing speakers are projecting so that it gets to you at a volume you like. I have 8 ft ceilings and I set mine to +2 or +3 because I want more from the height speakers than typical. Also, be mindful, many directors just use atmos for atmospherics (e.g. wind, background, nature) so it adds depth but only occasionally will you hear the helicopter flying overhead effect. And for me, I want to maximize those effects when available. So I put my height level a little higher than the comparable (rear speaker) surrounds. I hope this helps.
A:AnswerIn some home theater setups, users purchase components separately. So, a user would need to purchase a receiver, an amplifier, and individual speakers. When piecing together a home theater system in this fashion it’s important to balance the system. Measuring the wattage each device is capable of transmitting & receiving and the impedance of each device (measured in OHMs) was balanced to achieve the maximum sound pressure level (or volume measured in decibels). Typically, a speaker that can receive a higher wattage are also capable of creating a higher Sound Pressure Level (decibels). It’s important to note that watts is a measure of power, but sound pressure level, (The measure of volume), is the end result. In VIZIO Sound Bar Systems the components are self-contained and balanced, so the wattage transmitted between each internal component is already configured to give you the maximum Sound Pressure Level, which for this Sound Bar is 105 dB.
