True 5.1 ssurround sound is coded to direct the dialogue or speaking frequency sounds to the center channel which is usually placed under the tv screen. Thus the speaking sounds appear to be coming from the main characters on the screen. You may hear some background dialogue through the surrounds if the scene is in a large room or stadium, but the situation you describe is not unusual or an indication of a problem with the device, There will be times when nothing is coming from the surround speakers...this is normal.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. Most surround sound is recorded so that the main dialog comes from the front center speaker. Music, explosions, and sound effects should dominate the satellite speakers.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Speaking sounds are not supposed to come from surround speakers(unless the speaker is behind the camera), they mostly come from center channel of the sound bar. It's the way surround sound works. If someone is in front of you speaking to you, you wouldn't hear their voice coming from behind you. That would be weird.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. What comes out of the rear speakers is controlled by the sound design of whatever you are watching, and not by the system.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. As long as you have paired up the sound bar to the woofer what comes out of speakers in a 5.1 environment is dependent on the source. Try playing a few different BlueRay DVD's.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Maybe check in the TV menu to make sure of your audio preference-stereo/surround etc
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Could it be that your service provider does not broadcast in 5.1 surround sound? just spitballing...
