“Does anyone have issues losing wireless connection with the subwoofer? I'm looking to buy one but about 5 years ago I had a wireless type system. The back speakers were wireless and I was always having to reconnect them. Thanks for you time.”

No. They have never disconnected on me.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.My experience has been good, but my experience also is that line-of-sight to the subwoofer is mandatory. The bluetooth connection is even disrupted when I stand between the subwoofer and the soundbar.
