“Will this system work properly if I connect external speakers (that are pre-wired in my ceiling) where the satellite speaker plug in? So I want to replace the sat speakers with new round 8 inch ceiling speakers for my surround.”

The satellite speakers need to connect to the subwoofer through a wired connection and use a digital coaxial audio cable for that connection. Thanks -Randal
