High Dynamic Range, or HDR, increases the Contrast (brightness& darkness of an image) and the color range. Bright parts of the image can get much brighter, so the image seems to have more depth. Colors get expanded to show more bright blues, greens, reds, and everything in between.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. This TV has HDR and WCG, which is Wide Color Gamut. You're getting way more colors and the overall picture will show colors and stuff others won't, it isn't a gimmick, this is tech in this TV is the best. It supports both HDR10 and Dolby Vision which is like a different practice, that is supposedly better. Also, 599$ or cheaper on sale makes this TV very affordable and is a must have for Gamers and Movie Buffs. Xbox and PS4 both support HDR10.
