• You could buy a janky $20 tablet and download the SmartCast app on Google Playstore.

• You don't need it. They replaced it with a full remote and this model has built-in apps. You can easily cast from Apple devices without downloading an app. I have had trouble casting from an Android phone with or without the app, though.

• You are getting a regular remote with it.. If you still want a digital remote, convert any of your phone/tablet device into it by installing Vizio smartcast app and other streaming apps

• I don't see it on their website at all, anymore. Everything is just SmartCasted from a cell phone anymore.
