• This is a feature of HDMI called CEC (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Consumer_Electronics_Control). You have to ensure it is turned on BOTH on your console as well as your TV

• This is controlled through CEC functions which are only available on HDMI 1.

• CEC setting may be allowed on PS4 opposed to your Xbox. It’s found in your settings options.
